Kartik,

on Geriaoueg: the ideas page (http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Ideas_for_Google_Summer_of_Code/Geriaoueg_vocabulary_assistant) contains information on the task and describes a coding challenge that you should complete along with sending your application.

When developing a language pair such as Hindi to English, there is no need to write a single line of code. The only "code" you would have to write is that corresponding to the structural transfer rules which have their own language. If you want to submit a proposal corresponding to that idea, be sure to check the details in http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Ideas_for_Google_Summer_of_Code/Adopt_a_language_pair and do the coding challenge.

Hi,

My name is Kartik Parnami, I am 19 years-old and I'm from India.I have knowledge of Python, Java, HTML, PHP and a little bit of JavaScript and have coded up my own website "www.artickly.com <http://www.artickly.com>".

I would like to make my candidacy in the project named "Geriaoueg vocabulary assistant" that is tagged on your ideas lists for Google Summer Of Code 2013.I am very interested in working on this project as it mixes NLP along with Web Development's Integral Knowledge.

I want to know more details about how you plan to go about the development of your Hindi to English inside Project. I would like to discuss the project in order to try to understand the best way to submit the application. I would also like to know if someone would be interested in being my mentor to discuss these ideas better, and what language to use for the development of the project.

I would have pleasure in working with you, researching and developing the previous ideas, in anyway that I can be helpful.

Please do reply,
Thanks,
Kartik Parnami
