Boldiszár, as Jimmy says, you're not too late.
But you'll have to work real hard for the coming 2 days! Things to include in a good proposal: what is your user interface going to look like: is it going to be like Appinventor? Is it going to be like Scratch? Some mockups of how real Apertium transfer rules in the new interface would look like would be very convincing. Also, give details on how you are going to deal with roundtrip conversion between the visual interface and the XML used in transfer rules.
