Aniruddha,

Hello,
I am trying for the "Apertium assimilation evaluation toolkit".
Cool!
In the coding task what exactly needs to be done? What I understood form the task is to get a translator
No. Assimilation is for anyone who understands the target language, be they translators or not.
and show him some reference translations of the sentences in which one or more content words have been deleted, and ask him to complete them to get reference translations. In this process we also give him source text/MT output or both and measure the effect on the efficiency of the translator.
Of the person performing the task.
Is this correct?
Yes.

The paper http://journal.sepln.org/sepln/ojs/ojs/index.php/pln/article/download/4867/2882 describes the process.

Please come back with any questions you may have.

Mikel
