Hello,

I installed Apertium on OSX using a shell script I found (though I can't seem
to find it now). I entered en-es for language during the install. Install
seemed to go fine, apertium seems to "work". However, closer examination
reveals some problems.

I have apertium installed on Ubuntu also. Been using it, no problems. However,
on OSX, some of the text translates, but of it gives no output at all. example:

echo 'Tuesday, July 13, 2004' | apertium en-es

no output. Many large blocks of text give no output. However,

echo 'My Prayer' | apertium en-es
Mi Oración

Same as on Ubuntu.

I compared environment variables; the only one appeared might have an effect,
LANG=en_US.UTF-8, is the same on both systems. Read something about LC_CTYPE
on Macs, so also set to en_US.UTF-8, but it didn't help.

I can print the install script in need be, and also post the output from the
install.

Thanks,

Allasso
