Firstly, subscribe to
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/apertium-stuff (not digest
mode!)

Secondly, it is not yet guaranteed Apertium will be chosen as a GSoC
organization, but we certainly want it to be.

As to the task, if you want to use C++ and Qt5, then I'll be happy to
mentor it. I don't personally work with Python, so I have no idea what is
good Python or PyQt code - but I can mentor other parts of it.

to get started.

If you have any questions, ask on IRC or apertium-stuff.
