Install latest lttoolbox and apertium, then wipe and recompile the data.
Since Apertium 3.4, the data files won't die if PCRE versions mismatch.

Or use the nightly packages - from what I can see, it works fine there:

echo "Tenia prop de divuit anys quan vaig conèxier" | apertium ca-es
Tenía cerca de dieciocho años cuando voy *conèxier
