Yes, with free JS I meant JavaScript code that is released under a
free software license.

I think it would make sense that the browser would try to find from
the comments of a JS file the tag "@licstart" and then analyze from it
which license it is. I don't know how for example LibreJS browser
plugin does this but maybe something similar (LibreJS is a plugin for
detecting whether the JS is free).
