A summary, = Apertium for Dummies http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Apertium_for_Dummies
No objection to the words, but I have never been happy with the title. Recent correspondence from Donald gives flash of understanding; a diagram for the Apertium workflow is not 'Apertium for Dummies'. So I replaced contents with an article. Corrects welcome. Beyond that, if anyone is unhappy about Apertium being written about/advertised in this way, please raise your objections. == Changes to links on 'Documentation' page http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Documentation Note: - new note near the 'Manual' link at the top - 'Introductions to Modules' - new links == New 'workflow diagram' page http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Workflow_diagram Replaces the diagram in 'Apertium for Dummies' Help offered by Joonas has improved this diagram. His last comments suggested straightening the diagram, and using stronger colour. I am not keen on colour coding, because of HIG? However, this diagram may be a resource for presentations, so I will do whatever work is needed to make it good for everyone. == New Workflow reference page http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Workflow_reference In text, so it can be edited. Includes the descriptions previously inserted into the 'Apertium for Dummies' diagram. And links, examples, overview descriptions and file references. This big new page is larger than some multi-page articles. However, my own experience, and comments from Donald, suggest it may help those who approach Apertium for the first time. My overriding concerns are about the sections for CG, POS Tagger, and HFST. I have not used these modules, and HFST is not mentioned. == finally I'd like to thank everyone for the help so far...
