Hi,
I am Saurabh (srbhr), Computer Science Undergraduate, in my Pre-Final (3rd)
year. I want to work on the Idea Improving language pairs by mining
MediaWiki Content Translation postedits.
(
http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Ideas_for_Google_Summer_of_Code/automatic-postediting
 ).
I have looked onto the github repository,
https://github.com/mlforcada/naive-automatic-postediting, and I am working
my way towards it. But as stated on the wiki page " This project is
rather experimental and involves some research in addition to coding. "
Are the students preferred for the Project are research students or the one
with specialised knowledge in linguistics domains. Because I am pursuing my
bachelors degree as of now.

"Discontinued code that learns some naïve postediting operators from
existing post editing runs. The code may work but is not completely
documented. The code was generated in connection with the PhD thesis of
Assem Abeustanova (née Shormakova), which is now stalled." As stated on the
read-me.Is this project is still in development and can I work on this?

Regards,
Saurabh Rai (srbhr)
