What's almost unbelievable is that gold went up $15 but gold mining
shares plunged.
But what happened is that elites bought gold for safety, but investment
banks, hedge funds, caught in the downturn, have had to sell positions in
whatever they have to raise cash. Not sure how the volume was at the end of the
day, but halfway through the day they were saying volume was light. No panic. I
have not seen Nightly Business Report yet but the panic mode must have kicked
in late in the afternoon. But until then it looked like sophisticated money
managers were simply selling off to raise cash to cover their losses and then
as the acceleration downward took off they started selling to close positions.
But as for one of those sophisticated money men, a guest CNBC commentator
said early on in the day look at the fine mess they've gotten us into again.
Another post says 1,000 banks will fail, but more banks failed in the
late 80's and early 90's - and we pulled through.
I am hoping this mess, and it will be a big one with a wild ride and -
you're right = the socialilsts tightening the noose around us further, will
still wake up our fellow Americans to what we keep trying to tell them.
If they will toughen up, they will change this system. When they start
losing everything they will have nothing to lose, and then will become more
radical and less docile.
