You probably haven't heard about this in the mass media, altho certainly, they are following the cases internally. Actually, there are about a dozen cases still pending. As far as I know, only one of them, the case from NJ, has been settled for sure. Some were "dismissed" but then picked up by another associate.
Please remember, if you're hoping for a Republican president, that ain't gonna happen. If Obama were exposed as a usurper, either Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden would be named President, depending on the date. Sorta takes the fun out of it. This is a classic internal Democratic battle being fought. Personally, I think he'll persevere because no one in govt or the MSM cares about the United States Constitution until they want to use it to support what they want to do, e.g. out law Christmas, impeach a judge for displaying the X Commandments, gay marriage or to hire gay Scout leaders. The rest of the time, the Constitution is something to trample on. Ain't that Gov Rod Blagojevich a hoot! Did you know he's a Daley Democrat too? They now want him to step down so the Lt Gov can appoint Barak's replacement in the Senate, rather than risk a special election. You see, they don't know who all is involved in the pay-to-play scandal yet.
