Remember how our so-called public servants pooh-poohed our concern about the Trade deficit, not to mention the budget deficit? We have been buying oil from countries that don't necesssarily like US, and everything else from China, except cars which come from Japan. Some people laughed at these countries accepting our fiat money in trade for their goods and services. On ocassion a commentaor might ask, with a slight tinge of concern: what if China refuses to accept our charge card? But then they answer their own question, they need US as much as we need them.
