Dear Friends of Axis of Logic,
We are pleased to introduce the new
version of Axis of Logic. We first launched Axis of Logic as an
international, trans-cultural website in May, 2003 with the aim of
delivering news, social/political commentary, and information on
political action.
Our mission is in opposition to Global
Corporate Empire, with a positive thrust to support universal values,
the sovereignty of nations, the dignity of every human being, and the
ideals of equality and community. We are not just against something; we
stand for something.
We began as a small group of volunteer
writers, editors, and publishers from around the world. We immediately
received a large and favorable response and our readership has steadily
grown through the years. During the past 6 years, Axis has been a
“reader’s site”. Axis of Logic has always been valued for it’s
straightforward message, it’s simple, user-friendly format and its
journalistic integrity. Today our 3 Editors, 11 Columnists and
Information Director come from 10 different countries and 5 U.S.
states. In addition, we have many researchers and correspondents,
worldwide, who send us reports from their homelands for publication. As
a result, Axis of Logic offers a rich variety of perspectives from
people who share a world-view that is reflected in our Mission
Statement.
Our news, commentary, and action-alerts
cover 18 countries and regions of the world, and 23 topics that are
important to all people. Axis of Logic does not advertise in order to
maintain journalistic independence. All in the Axis of Logic group work
as volunteers, and the costs of Axis of Logic are funded solely by
visitor donations.
Two years ago, we began planning a complete renovation of Axis of Logic
to be able to deliver new sectors of information, interactive features
for visitors, a new look, and an even more navigable website than
before. The New Axis has been designed by our own information director,
who has employed the cutting edge of Internet technology and her keen
eye for visual arts. New features are selected and designed to provide
visitors with a more upbeat and more interactive place … a place to
learn, contribute, relax and enjoy cultural enrichment and
entertainment.
Please take a few minutes to visit the new, dynamic Axis
of Logic. We invite you to comment on the essays, news,
art, poetry, music and videos in the place provided at the end of each
article. We now resume sending our newsletter which will offer titles
of latest news and commentary, and our monthly Axis E-Zine. Please feel
