Thomas Jefferson ------------------------------ * Hello Patriots,* * Most of you already know about the Sovereignty Resolution battle that is going on in South Carolina. There are two resolutions that are “in play”. The House version has already passed in the House with 100% support. The Senate version has been stalled (intentionally) in the Senate. They have run out the clock in the Senate. The Senate is scheduled to bring the resolution to the floor for a vote on Tuesday. Even if they pass it, there will not be enough time to get the Senate version through the House before the end of the session. (How clever, they can vote for it knowing it will die when the session ends.)Of course, this was very much planned by those opposed to the resolution. After talking with Senator Lee Bright this afternoon I found out there is one more way to get the resolution passed before the of the legislative session. Senator Bright will ask that the House version replace the Senate version that he sponsored. If there are no objections, they “could” pass the House version and give South Carolina a great victory. Senator Bright is expecting Senator Hutto to oppose this procedure and try to stop it from being voted on. We discussed some strategy that may create a “reason” for Mr. Hutto to cooperate and allow the resolution to be passed.* ** *With the assistance of Christopher Sullivan (speaker at the Rally), we are planning a press conference in Orangeburg on Tuesday morning at 10:00. The purpose of this press conference is to allow Mr. Hutto’s constituents to know that he is blocking the resolution. In addition to his stand on the sovereignty resolution, Mr. Hutto may have also voted against a resolution (S-0305) to keep the Guantanamo Terrorists from being brought to South Carolina. We need to expose Senator Hutto and bring severe pressure on him in his own district. That is where we need your help. We would like to have a group of 30 – 50 people to be at the press conference to indicate to the press that people are outraged to have Senator Hutto represent them this way and demand that he support our State sovereignty.* *The exact location is still pending, but it will be in Orangeburg and it will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday morning. Ok folks, this is why we are here as members of The Patriotic Resistance, a Patriot was also know as a Minute Man, Ready on a moment’s notice to fight for freedom. I know this is short notice, but that is just how it has to be done. If you are willing to take a stand with us in Orangeburg, I need to know. I will need to be able to quickly communicate the location to you. If you live in Senator Hutto’s district I strongly urge you to support this. If you don’t live in Hutto’s district, you are still impacted by what this Benedict Arnold is doing and you are still needed in the fight. Please contact me ASAP to let me know if you are willing to mount the last stand for our sovereignty on Tuesday morning. My number is 864-313-8615. We can win this battle, but it will take many of us to get it done. After the press conference some of us will be heading to Columbia to watch the Senate take the last vote on the sovereignty resolution and witness Hutto’s vote. You are welcome to go with us, but the main thing is being at the press conference.
