The statement Pelosi made to the American people on April 23 was bad enough:
"We were not, I repeat, were not told that waterboarding or any of these
other enhanced interrogation methods were used."
But when that statement started to unravel, Pelosi's behavior got downright
bizarre; and NOW, Pelosi is insisting that her congressional colleagues, the
Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and brave CIA personnel are ALL
LYING... while ONLY SHE, Nancy Pelosi is capable of telling the truth.
In comments laced with paranoia and fanaticism on May 14, Pelosi
said, "THEY
always mislead US." By "they" she apparently meant dark forces known only
to... Nancy Pelosi. By "us" she seemed to mean... Nancy Pelosi.
And now it seems that with every word she utters, Nancy Pelosi
undercuts her credibility, the credibility of the United States... and puts
American lives in peril.
It stands to reason that if Nancy Pelosi were water-boarded, it's
questionable that even then would she be able to distinguish truth from
fiction.
But, as the old expression goes: "Facts to liberals are like crosses to
vampires."
Even former-Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich called Pelosi's actions
"despicable" and "dishonest" and called for her to step aside as Speaker of
the House or for Congress to force the issue.
"I think she has lied to the House, and... I think this is a big deal. I
don't think the Speaker of the House can lie to the country on national
security matters."
Gingrich went on to say:
"She is a trivial politician, viciously using partisanship for the narrowest
of purposes, and she dishonors the Congress by her behavior... . This is
really, really dangerous, and it is going to get a lot of people killed, if
we don't call a halt to it."
Gingrich is RIGHT. We as Americans must demand of the White House and
congressional leader that they force Nancy Pelosi to RESIGN immediately...
before she does more harm to America.

Nancy Pelosi... the Woman Who Would Be Queen.
Let's be clear: when Nancy Pelosi says "we were not told" at the
September briefing about enhanced interrogation techniques, she must be
using what's called "the royal we."
That's because NO ONE ELSE at the 2002 briefing appears, at present, to
agree with Queen Nancy's version of events.
In fact, according to the explosive intelligence memo released by
Obama-appointed CIA Director Leon Panetta, Nancy Pelosi has not been
leveling with the American people.
Here is how The Washington Post summarizes the CIA's key memo:
"[I]intelligence officials said that Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter Goss
(R-Fla.) were the first two members of Congress ever briefed on the
interrogation tactics. . . . Pelosi and Goss were briefed Sept. 4, 2002 . .
. The memo . . . notes the Pelosi-Goss briefing covered 'EITs [Enhanced
Interrogation Techniques] including the use of EITs on Abu Zubaydah.'
Zubaydah was one of the earliest valuable al-Qaeda members captured... ."
The CIA's version is verified by former-congressman Porter Goss, who
left the House in 2004 to become CIA Director.
In a recent Washington Post piece, Goss writes:
"Since leaving my post as CIA director almost three years ago, I have
remained largely silent on the public stage. I am speaking out now because I
feel our government has crossed the red line between properly protecting our
national security and trying to gain partisan political advantage."
Goss adds:
"Let me be clear. It is my recollection that: The chairs and the ranking
minority members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, known as
the Gang of Four, were briefed that the CIA was holding and interrogating
high-value terrorists."
"We understood what the CIA was doing.
"We gave the CIA our bipartisan support.
"We gave the CIA funding to carry out its activities.
"On a bipartisan basis, we asked if the CIA needed more support from
Congress to carry out its mission against al-Qaeda."
The inconvenient truth for Pelosi - the ranking Democrat on the House
Intelligence Committee at the time - is that the CIA documents, along with
statements by Goss and others, indicate what she knew and when she knew it.
Specifically, those statements and documents indicate that Pelosi knew
as early as September, 2002, that the CIA was employing aggressive
interrogation techniques.
Even PolitiFact, a "fact checking organization," known to have a
liberal bias, examined Pelosi's assertion that she was in the dark about
water boarding and labels her claim as "false."
Here is what the liberals at PolitiFact say:
"We are persuaded by the CIA timeline, which the agency says is based on 'an
extensive review of [the CIA's] electronic and hardcopy files.' It's also
important to note that the timeline that contradicts Pelosi was put together
at the behest of an administration controlled by her own party. That
document provides compelling . . . evidence that Pelosi's recollection is
incorrect."
Increasingly, Pelosi is caught in a web of deceit of her own making.
Frankly, our nation can't afford to have such a woman in a position of
leadership. We need to demand that our elected officials "Just say NO" when
it comes to Pelosi retaining her position as Speaker of the House.

Can Pelosi Use Her Deceitful Tactics to Survive?
*Nancy Pelosi is the ultimate *"creature of the Beltway."* She's one of
those leftist politicians who consistently relies on a key *DC*
concept: *Plausible
Deniability*.
Plausible Deniability is the political art of covering your tracks so
you can later claim that you didn't know something... when in fact you *DID
KNOW IT*.
In Pelosi's case, it can be argued that she hasn't mastered this fine
art... in her case, the concept can be called, *implausible deniability*.
As PolitiFact argues, the evidence shows that Pelosi did know that
aggressive interrogation techniques existed - and that the *CIA* had been
using them on the ruthless terrorist Abu Zubaydah.
She knew those facts in September of 2002, and she was reminded of them
again in February, 2003. That's when Pelosi's intelligence aide as well as
one of her California Democratic colleagues told her about their own
extensive briefings on the use of aggressive interrogation.
Here's how *Politico.com <http://politico.com/>* describes it:
*"There's no dispute that on Feb. 4, 2003 - five months after Pelosi's
September meeting - CIA officials briefed Pelosi [intelligence] aide Michael
Sheehy and Rep. Jane Harman . . . on the specific techniques that had been
used on Zubaydah - including waterboarding." *
*Politico.com* adds, *"Sheehy informed his boss of the technique shortly
after."* Congresswoman Jane Harman, who had some objections to aggressive
interrogation, also informed Pelosi.
And yet, Pelosi passed on the opportunity to join Harman in objecting.
Of course, Pelosi and other leftist ideologues are often accused of
having a *"pre-9/11 mentality."* But a better term might be *"Rip van Winkle
Syndrome,"* meaning they seem to have slept through the terrorist threat in
the 21st century.
Yes, abundant evidence shows that Nancy Pelosi is mendacious, but
beyond that, she's malicious toward *CIA* patriots... and mindless about the
threats to our nation.
What Nancy Pelosi knew *(and she knew plenty)* and when she knew it *(very
early in the game) *is a significant issue, but there's a more important
one: it's whether the Bush Administration's aggressive approach to gathering
intelligence from battle-hardened terrorists was appropriate.
George W. Bush and his people couldn't afford to sleep through the
terrorist threat. So, they did what their hearts and heads told them was
essential to protect American lives and our way of life.
Aggressive interrogation was absolutely essential to getting
information that would keep Americans from being slaughtered by mass
murderers like Zubaydah and 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Muhammed *(who was
also waterboarded with good results)*.
Consider Dick Cheney's statement about Obama's outrageous disclosure of
*CIA* interrogation memos: *"One of the things that I find a little bit
disturbing about this recent disclosure is they put out the legal memos, the
memos that the CIA got from the Office of Legal Counsel, but they didn't put
out the memos that showed the success of the effort . . . . And there are
reports that show specifically what we gained as a result of this activity.
They have not been declassified."*
George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and the *CIA* protected American lives.
Pelosi appears mainly preoccupied with protecting her embarrassing political
*"career"* and her status with the George Soros-types on the Far Left.
It is time for Americans that love our country to put an end to
Pelosi's undistinguished - and disgraceful - political career.

*But Can We Really Force Pelosi to Resign? *
To the surprise of many observers, the answer to that question more and
more looks like *YES*. In the Beltway, people are beginning to utter what
for Pelosi is the dreaded *"R-word"*: resignation.
Conservatives and fair-minded journalists are not afraid to speak the
truth and we see this willingness to examine the facts in criticisms from *FOX
News, The Washington Times, New York Post, Newsmax*, and others.
But what is fascinating is how the liberal media, traditionally
friendly to Pelosi, are beginning to turn on her. Outlets like *PolitiFact,
ABC News, The Washington Post*, and even *CNN* have little good to say about
her these days.
After Pelosi's bizarre press conference on May 14, *The Washington Post
*described her as *"backtracking while walking sideways." *
Pelosi's attacks on the *CIA* show a woman engaged in a scorched earth
policy... *she's willing to destroy the innocent in order to protect the
guilty: herself*.
Frankly, Pelosi's waffling and weaseling about so-called *"torture"* is
making a growing number of Democrats uneasy. They are *"thinking the
unthinkable"* ... that Pelosi may be expendable.
Here's how *CQPolitics.com <http://cqpolitics.com/>* analyzed the
situation:
*"Questions about Mrs. Pelosi's predicament that The Washington Times posed
in phone calls and e-mails to nearly two dozen House Democrats - members
ranging from staunch antiwar lawmakers to the party's hawks - yielded few
responses aside from ' no comment.'"*
For the embattled Pelosi, *"no comment"* is not exactly a ringing
endorsement.
Even Steny Hoyer, the number-two Democrat in the House and Pelosi's
main political errand boy, is having second thoughts about his defense of
the Speaker.
At first, he labeled the charges against Pelosi as a case of *
"Republicans"* attempting to *"distract the debate."*
Lately, however, Hoyer has been changing his tune - perhaps remembering
that if Pelosi is out, he probably would be the next Speaker.
Clearly, *Nancy Pelosi - the woman who protects herself first and the
country last - is becoming a political liability*. Obama and Democrat
leaders in Congress are starting to see her as someone that could hurt their
own chances for re- election.
As Americans, we just may have an historic opportunity to rid ourselves
of the political presence a woman who has forfeited her right to hold a
position of leadership.
