Hello all,
i don't understand why isn't the consolidation and control and
ultimately the censorship of all of the media outlets such as...
( tv, radio, newspapers, cable, internet, satelite, magazines, book
publishers, movie + music production, etc. ) a hot topic of this
discussion group.
unfortunately extreme censorship is alive and well in the USA, and
it is going on every day, yet there are only occasionaly mentions of
certain info or reports not being mentioned on the major networks or
covered by the conventional media.
about 10 years ago there were several groups and idividuals voicing
their concerns about the media outlet purchases, consolidations and /
or the forein ownership of those media outlets, and the censorship and
manipulation of popular opinion that would follow, not too suprisingly
about the only air time they got was on PBS.
but don't expect to see any of those episodes or topics anytime soon
on any of the major networks, or on " the Corporation for public
brodcasting " stations. it is too late, they have all been bought out,
and are now under corporate control. the politicians won't touch the
subject, ( that would be political suicide ), the FCC is of no help,
( guess where the former FCC employees apply for jobs and positions ),
and the thought of the government controling the media ( any more than
it already does ), is too horrible to think of.
so what is the answer to this situation we find ourselves in ?, i
don't know. but i certainly fear for the future of the United States
of America as we know it.
