Things are heating up on the Liberty battle grounds! The "Platform
for Liberty" is gaining traction in a number of states, with (not surprisingly)
South Carolina leading the way!
Unlike the politically-popular "Contract with America" promulgated
by the Republican Party a few years ago, the "Platform for Liberty" is a
package of model legislation aimed at restoring liberty starting from the roots
of the American political system - at the State and County levels. In South
Carolina alone, nearly a half dozen of the models from this packet ARE ALREADY
INTRODUCED, ASSIGNED BILL NUMBERS, AND ARE PENDING COMMITTEE ACTION!
(H-4470,H-4501, & H-4502 are the current front-runners and were introduced by a
RETIRED POLICE OFFICER named Rep. Michael Pitts!)
This, my friends, is HISTORIC NEWS! Never before have we achieved
such success in the first few weeks of state sessions!
Constitutional scholars from across America contributed to the
language of these bills. Diverse subject matter - ranging from Second
Amendment protections to Religious Liberties, from Personal Privacy to holding
accountable United States Senators to their State, and from reinstituting the
historical powers of Sheriffs to restoration of Gold & Silver coin to our
states' economies - are all included in this package.
On this week's conference, we will discuss how to get these models
introduced in YOUR state (along with strategies we are working to further
advance them through the Assembly in SC). And unlike the Contract with America
that grabbed headlines from sea to sea, it is NOT surprising that the
mainstream media is totally ignoring these bills that would once again put the
Constitution in the forefront of American political thought.
This platform is NON-PARTY-SPECIFIC - any candidate for state or
local office can subscribe to it, in whole or part.
There are a number of ways YOU can help get this into circulation,
and bills from it introduced. Those are some of the things we will be
discussing on the call this week. In addition, we are always likely to invite
or be joined by state legislators from just about anywhere in the nation where
ideas such as these are finding a nest.
To find the packages of ready-to-go items of model legislation,
issue briefs, etc., see the "documents" page on www.nvcca.net for the downloads
(geared for state legislators).
Pick your favorite subjects, drill down on them, and run NOW with
the info to your legislators. It is ESSENTIAL in many states to get these
PRE-FILED if they are to be introduced at all! Each state has filing deadlines
whereby if they are not in on time, there is zero chance of getting them "in
the hopper" for consideration.
We also have videos teaching about the state legislative process,
"briefings" for state legislators on these issues, and more on the "media" page

Each person involved in our activities should become an "expert" on
one or more of these issues. When a team converges on the state house, with
several issues, each person then multiplies their presence with the others.
Don't try to educate a legislator on "hard money" (for example), unless you
thoroughly understand the subject, and can answer questions. Drill down on
YOUR favorite subject(s), become well versed, and THEN start working as a
teacher for your representative on those subjects for which you can present the
material in a comprehensive manner. The goal is lining up VOTES in the state
house on the subjects we present to them. Our TEAM effort requires getting a
plurality of (+) votes.
This is the call to keep up on all the events & materials we are
making available for you to use, and what is going on in our states and
activist centers. Educating state legislators is our mission. Good leadership
in our states is the key to making it happen. This call is for YOU!

The National Legislative Conference Call is open to all, and helps
train those in the movement for positive political action at the state and
local levels on a number of issues (money, Real ID, 911 Truth, and many more).
RTR and NVCCA coordinators work directly in the state capitols of America with
elected officials, to draft and support pro-constitution legislative change.
