Tea Party? Where were all of these 'concerned citizens'
in 2000? in 2004? Where when the wonderful W was delivering tax cuts
to a very select few and incredible deficits (to what end?) to the rest
of us?
I am NOT part of this movement. Do NOT associate me with Glenn Beck!
I am an independent Liberal and proud of it.
Re-elect Obama. At least with the current administration - whom I voted
for - there are benefits to a larger portion of the American People.
Oh, let's make sure our grandkids aren't saddled with these escalating
debts. Well, you can't do that by lowering taxes and spending. You
have to control the spending while INCREASING the taxes to pay for all
of the goodies that have been put on the credit card thus far. Is
everyone out there ready to pay for what they've got?

I will definitely vote for the party that's accused of taxing and
spending. The other alternative competely disgusts me - Borrow and
Spend, Spend, Spend is their method. That's the source of the pain you
feel - The hypocrites that label themselves Republican.
They are the ones responsible for the government's part in moving MORE
jobs overseas. They are the ones who have turned America's leading
export into the LIVES of our service men and women sent to action the
Empire-building in Where?? and Why?? They are the ones who have
manipulated Conservatism in the most perverse ways. While some of you
want to dump the Democrats, OK. But NEVER AGAIN replace them with a
Republican.
And, Ladies and Gentlemen, please respond to my diatribe. Dialogue is
sharing opinions between ourselves - not blindly following some
Demagogue. I stand, ready, to engage in further dialogue.

This week's Action Alert:
1. Cap and Trade is back in the headlines, and Congress is getting
ready to move on it. Cap and Trade will levy additional taxes and a new
impost on energy companies. As with all taxes levied on any company,
you and I will pay for it in higher prices, this time through energy
use.
My heat, electricity and gas run me about $2700 a year. Under cap and
trade laws, this will double. At my current income, I will not be able
to afford my house. It’s not even a question of cutting back, I live
alone and could not possibly cut my use anymore. All of us will see our
heat and electricity double.
Time for another round of calls to our members of congress.
Share your suggestions:
Hey, I'm just the guy who came up with the name for this particular tea
party group. Please send in all your ideas, suggestions, points of
contention with our government. Send it all. My goal is to send out one
action alert per week to all of you. It may involve calling federal
officials about a pending bill, it may involve state level officials.
So many things we can effect positive change. That is what I'm striving
for here, positive energy and positive change.
