Base in Arizona was put in lockdown Friday due to unconfirmed reports
of a man spotted on base with a weapon, air base officials said in a
statement. The officials said in a statement that "DM has reduced
movements to single-point entry due to a potential security situation."
Local television KVOA said that Tech Sergeant J. Russell Martin has
stated that there were unconfirmed reports of a man spotted on base
with a weapon.

vertical collapse, reminiscent of a controlled demolition. How could
fire damage cause such a collapse in a steel building? Never in history
has a steel building collapsed due to fire, let alone in such a quick,
symmetrical fashion. During a video interview in the 2002 PBS documentary
"America Rebuilds", Larry Silverstein shed some light on the mystery.
According to Silverstein: "I remember getting a call from the, uh, fire
department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were
gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'You know we've had such
terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is, is pull it.'
Uh, and they made that decision to pull and then we watched the
building collapse." "Pull" is construction jargon for
"demolish", short for "pull down". Silverstein was saying that

10 Sep 2011 Mahathir Mohamad says it is not unthinkable for former US
President [sic] George W. Bush to lie about who was responsible for the
9/11 terror attacks on the American soil. In a post published in his
personal blog chedet on Friday, former Malaysian prime minister said
that the attacks on the World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan, New
York City, and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, could not have been
carried out by Muslims. The acts of violence could have rather been the
work of other groups. The Malaysian politician pointed out that "for
some Americans, the deaths of nearly 3,000 people was not the scariest
thing about 9/11. It was realizing who carried out the attack: yes, the
American Government."

death toll is expected to rise as some of the injured are said to be in

Somalia
denies CIA rendition base in Mogadishu 09 Sep 2011 Somalia
has dismissed reports that the US runs an underground detention centre
where the CIA helps interrogate terror suspects in the capital
Mogadishu. UK rights group Reprieve says it has evidence that the base
lies underneath the presidential compound, and that some inmates are as
young as 14. The group says one man was taken there from Kenya and held
for 18 months without seeing lawyers - or daylight.

11th terror attacks are remembered at the tenth anniversary memorial
ceremony on the site of the World Trade Center site. The event began at
8:35 a.m. at the National September 11th Memorial, where family members
are seeing for the first time victims' names inscribed in bronze panels
and reflecting pools set in the footprints of the Twin Towers. The
memorial includes the names of those who died at the World Trade
Center, the Pentagon, and on Flight 93, as well as the six victims of
the World Trade Center bombing in 1993.
9/11 Air Scare: Fighter Jets Scrambled in
Airline Incident 11 Sep 2011 Fighter jets were scrambled
to escort an American Airlines jet into New York's JFK airport after
the pilot became spooked by passengers' frequent trips to and from the
restroom, security officials said today. The precaution turned out to
be unnecessary as federal air marshals aboard flight 34 from Los
Angeles to JFK were able to resolve the situation when the passengers
complied with their instructions, police officials said. Two F-16
fighter jets kept the passenger plane in their sight from about 100
miles out of the airport until it landed. According to authorities the
FBI and Port Authority, police met the flight when it landed.
3 held in Detroit over bathroom trips on plane
11 Sep 2011 Amid anxiety over the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks,
police detained three passengers at Detroit's Metropolitan Airport on
Sunday after the crew of the Frontier Airlines flight from Denver
reported suspicious activity on board, and NORAD sent two F-16 jets to
shadow the flight until it landed safely, airline and federal officials
said. Also Sunday, NORAD sent two F-16s to escort a Los Angeles-to-New
York American Airlines flight after three passengers made repeated
trips to the bathroom, officials said. Flight 34 landed safely at New
York's Kennedy Airport. Frontier Flight 623, with 116 passengers on
board, landed without incident in Detroit after the crew reported that
two people were spending "an extraordinarily long time" in a bathroom,
Frontier spokesman Peter Kowalchuck said.
Southwest Airlines flight diverted to Nashville
10 Sep 2011 A Southwest Airlines flight headed to Baltimore was
diverted to Nashville on Saturday afternoon. The flight, which
originated in Albuquerque, landed at the Nashville International
Airport just after 1 p.m. after a passenger was demonstrating
suspicious behavior. All passengers on board the plane were re-screened
before continuing to its destination.
9/11 Anniversary Plot: Terror Suspects Came

U.N. journalist arrested in NY after prop gun
found 11 Sep 2011 A U.N.-accredited journalist working for
an Iranian broadcaster has been charged with criminal possession of a
weapon after U.N. security found a stage-prop gun in his baggage,
police and U.N. officials said on Friday. "An accredited journalist was
found with a toy gun, I believe it was," said U.N. spokesman Eduardo
del Buey. "It was found in his baggage. He was detained, and he was
turned over to the national authorities." He added that the incident
occurred on Thursday. Several U.N. officials told Reuters on condition
of anonymity that the journalist is a U.S. citizen who has been working
for Iranian state-funded broadcaster Press TV. [Why say

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) conducted site surveys on the Gaza
Border in June and at a training site in Giza, near Cairo, to support
the GOE in deploying a U.S.-supplied seismic-acoustic counter-tunneling
system (ref B), aiming to deploy this equipment on the Gaza border by
early 2009. The GOE's agreement to accept this equipment after initial
resistance in 2007 is a sign of increased bilateral cooperation on

U.S. told Egypt it must rescue Israeli embassy
workers or suffer 'consequences,' sources say 10 Sep 2011
The United States told Egypt's military rulers during an attack on the
Israeli embassy in Cairo that they must act quickly in order to prevent
Israeli personnel from being attacked by Egyptian protesters, Haaretz
learned on Saturday. According to senior U.S. source that were involved
in the attempt to resolve the Cairo incident, U.S. Secretary of Defense
Leon Panetta called Supreme Military Council head Mohamed Hussein
Tantawi, conveying what the source called a forceful message concerning
the need for speed in Egypt's ending of the embassy attack. "There's no
time to waste," Panetta reportedly told Tantawi in the 1 A.M. call,
warning of a tragic outcome that "would have very severe consequences."
The U.S. source also said that Tantawi failed to answer
incoming calls from U.S. officials throughout the evening,
finally answering after more than two hours of attempts. [Way

Three dead, 1,049 injured in Israeli embassy
protests in Cairo 10 Sep 2011 Three died and 1,049 others
were injured during protests at the Israeli embassy on Friday night,
Egypt's health ministry said on Saturday. One death was because of a
heart attack. 262 of the injured were rushed to different hospitals in
Cairo while the others got medical treatment at the scene. Clashes
between protestors and police forces were blamed for the casualties.
Police used tear gas to disperse the crowds.

Sep 2011 Hundreds of Egyptian activists on Friday demolished parts of
the wall erected around a building housing the Israeli embassy in Cairo
to protect it against demonstrators. Some of the protesters then
stormed the embassy premises and tore down the flag from the building
for the second time in less than a month.
Israel evacuates Cairo diplomats
10 Sep 2011 Israel evacuated its diplomatic staff from Cairo on
Saturday after its embassy there was ransacked in protests that left
three dead and more than 1,000 injured. Protesters broke into the
Israeli embassy at the top of a high-rise building in Cairo and threw
hundreds of documents out of the windows late on Friday night. Early on
Saturday morning, police vehicles were set alight outside the embassy,
according to Reuters.
Cairo protesters force Israeli envoy to flee

troops backed by armoured vehicles on Saturday took positions around
the Israeli embassy in Cairo after protesters broke into and vandalised

French JDL recruiting Jews with military
experience to 'defend' Israeli settlements 11 Sep 2011 An
extreme right-wing Jewish group in France is recruiting Jews with
military experience for a solidarity mission to Israel in order to help
"defend" Jewish settlements in the West Bank from Palestinian
protesters who are expected to march toward some of them on or around
September 20. The organization that put out the call for militant Jews
is the French branch of the Jewish Defense League, or Kach, an
organization banned in the United States and Israel, but tolerated in
France.

Controller posted 12 pages of delicate information that included flight
plans of Global Hawk drone gathering radiation readings near Fukushima
Daiichi nuclear plant 11 Sep 2011 Japanese officials
moved to control diplomatic damage after an air traffic controller was
questioned here for posting secret American flight information on his
blog, including the detailed flight plans of Air Force One last
November. The Transportation Ministry said Saturday that the
controller, who works at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, could face charges of
leaking national secrets. The breach also included the flight data of
an American military reconnaissance drone.
Sea radiation from Fukushima seen triple Tepco
estimate 10 Sep 2011 Radioactive material released into
the sea in the Fukushima nuclear power plant crisis is more than triple
the amount estimated by plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co,
Japanese researchers say. Japan's biggest utility estimated around
4,720 trillion becquerels of cesium-137 and iodine-131 was released
into the Pacific Ocean between March 21 and April 30, but researchers
at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) put the amount 15,000 trillion
becquerels, or terabecquerels.
Democrats Fret Aloud Over Obama's Re-election
