He Served His Country Honorably. And Now His Country Has Abandoned Him!
Former Marine Lance Cpl. Jon Hammar, who served tours in Iraq and
Afghanistan, is
rotting in a Mexican jail, awaiting a trial that may never come on totally
bogus and
fabricated weapons charges.
His parents claim he's being tortured and that they have received
mysterious
ransom demands from the prison (which is effectively controlled by a criminal
cartel). And
they've been told if they don't pay, Jon will be killed.
Hillary Clinton's State Department has done nothing. The Mexican
government has
done nothing. The consulate has done nothing; and not so shockingly, Barack
Hussein Obama
has done nothing.
That's unacceptable. So we're going to Blast Fax our elected
officials... and
we're going to Blast Fax Hillary Clinton's State Department and Janet
Napolitano's
Department of Homeland Security... and we're even going to Blast Fax Barack
Hussein Obama
right now.
And we're not going to accept mere puffery or meaningless
pontifications. They
have the power to have this wrongfully imprisoned Marine released and we want
him home for
Christmas. We will accept nothing less.

Hammar's Imprisonment Is No Innocent Miscarriage Of Justice.
You may have already heard the news reports. Hammar and a friend
were on their
way to Costa Rica for a hunting trip. When they reached the U.S.-Mexico border,
Hammar
presented an antique Sears and Roebuck shotgun that originally belonged to his
great-grandfather to U.S. customs officials.
Customs officials told him that it was permissible to enter Mexico
with the
antique shotgun and gave him the proper paperwork to declare it. Then, when
Hammar presented
the customs declaration paperwork to corrupt Mexican officials, they promptly
arrested him.
They didn't simply tell him that he couldn't bring the shotgun
into Mexico.
They didn't simply confiscate the shotgun. They didn't simply send him back
across the
border. They promptly arrested him and stuck in a stinking hole of a prison
that is
reputedly controlled by powerful Mexican criminal cartels.
The Washington Examiner reports: "In the words of Hammar’s
father, 'They
examined it, they weighed it, they said you have to fill out this form.' Hammar
did, then
climbed back into the RV in which the pair were traveling, drove across the
border, handed
the paperwork to Mexican agents — and were promptly arrested."
Let's be blunt. These corrupt Mexican officials knew it was an
unlawful arrest,
but as happens in Mexico far too often, corrupt officials falsely arrested him
and threw him
into a stinking hole of a prison to extort ransom money from his family. It's a
huge
money-making operation for the criminal cartels and corrupt officials who work
for the
cartels.
Katie Pavlich with TownHall writes: "[Centro de Ejecución de
Sanciones de
Matamoros] CEDES, where Hammar is held, is one of the most notorious prisons in
Mexico. Its
population includes criminals linked to Mexico’s dangerous [criminal]
cartels. They are
also widely believed to influence what goes on in the facility."
Hammar's been falsely imprisoned for four months now. His family,
like so many
other families who are victimized by these South-of-the-Border kidnappings,
kept the
incident quiet because they feared for their son's life.
And now that they've gone public with their son's story, Hammar's
life is in
jeopardy. If he's not released soon, he could be murdered in retribution for
his family
going public with the story.
Hammar must be released now and - make no mistake- our federal
officials have
the power to secure his release now... but it's up to us to make them exercise
that power
before it's too late.

Oh Yes, Corrupt Mexican 'Authorities' Knew It Was An Unlawful Arrest.
At first, Mexican authorities claimed that Hammar was in possession
of a
"military issued" firearm. It was a bold-faced lie.
Later, when military officials in Mexico (at the behest of
Hammar's attorney in
Mexico) attested that Hammar's antique shotgun was NOT military issue, the
Mexican
authorities changed their story and claimed that the barrel of the weapon was
only 24 inches
long and the law requires that barrels be 25 inches or more... likely another
lie.
Pavlich adds: "Mexican officials have justified Hammar's arrest,
saying it came
in accordance with gun laws in the country, have no plans to release him and
the State
Department has done nothing to get Hammar released."
You read that right. The State Department has done NOTHING.
And now that four long months have passed, the time for doing
nothing is over.
We want this Marine who has gallantly and bravely served his country home now.

Hammar's Life Is In Imminent Danger.
Hammer's mother Olivia recounted one of the mysterious extortion
threats she
received from the prison, via phone, to Fox News: "'We have him.' They put him
on the phone,
'We are going to kill him if you don't wire money into this account.'"
Hammer's father told the media that Jon has told him about some of
the threats
he has received from the corrupt prison guards: “Some of the guards are
saying ‘why are
these people on TV about you? What’s going on?â€
The Washington Examiner reports: "Much of the time, he has been
shackled to his
bed." Pavlich reports: "Hammar has been tortured during his time in the prison.
He's been
beaten and chained to a bed."
Days ago, a handful of federal legislators started weighing-in on
the travesty:
RedState.com reports: "U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-FL, stated that
the former
Marine 'does not deserve the treatment' that Mexico is giving the Miami-Dade
native,
including chaining him to a bed to 'prevent an escape.'"
Nelson said: "I’m bringing this to the attention of the Senate
so that we can
further get through to the Mexican government. If it requires me speaking on
the Senate
floor day in and day out to keep this issue alive, I will do so.â€
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) stated: “When I heard about this
mistreatment I
was outraged. The extortion attempts, the threats, and the wanton disregard by
the Mexican
authorities for Jon’s basic human rights are inexcusable.â€
Ros-Lehtinen added: "Jon has suffered enough; let's bring him home
to his
family where he rightly belongs for Christmas."
Ros-Lehtinen is right and we applaud the Members of Congress and
the media who
have brought this matter to the attention of the American people, but it's
going to take
more to bring this brave Marine home.
Hillary Clinton has the power to bring this young man home with
only a few
words... so does Janet Napolitano... so does Barack Obama... and so do our
elected
officials, if they issue the right threats. We give these tin-pot leaders
billions of
American taxpayer dollars.
So the time for talk is over. We want action and anything less is
an insult to
our intelligence. We want this brave Marine home for Christmas and that means
that we must
act now.

Don't Be Snowed. This Brave Marine's Release Is Probably Just A Phone
Call Away.
A recent Fox News segment with Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly drove
that point
home. When it comes to the travesty of justice that's occurring right before
our very eyes,
the ability of our federal officials to secure this Marine's release and the
broader
implications of allowing this travesty to continue, O'Reilly and Kelly hit the
nail on the
head several times.
Megyn Kelly: "Totally ridiculous. Why didn't they just turn him
away at the
border. Just send them back over the border..."
Bill O'Reilly: "The parents are very upset that the U.S. Consulate
hasn't done
more...."
Megyn Kelly: "... Wait. We give them hundreds of millions of
dollars a year,
Bill. Why isn't it just a phone call?"
Bill O'Reilly: "Let's be honest. They disrespect us all the time,
Mexico, all
the time. Number one, Hillary Clinton should be involved in this herself. We
haven't seen
any sign of that. Number two, President Obama should be involved. We haven't
seen any sign
of that. Number three, the new Mexican President Nieto... there's no way that
this guy
shouldn't let this Marine out tomorrow. ... They don't know what the hell is
going on. They
don't care, all right. So, I think, now, we're going to have to squeeze. We're
going to have
to put pressure."
Kelly is right. We give these tin-pot dictators billions of
dollars. It should
only take a phone call. Of course that would necessitate the
Apologizer-In-Chief rattling
his saber FOR America, instead of AGAINST America for a change.
And O'Reilly is right too. They disrespect us because we let them
disrespect
us. It's time to "squeeze" our government to "squeeze" them, and no one is
better or more
effective than YOU... GrassTopsUSA members at "squeezing" and "pressuring"
federal officials
to do the right thing.
Your efforts have changed our country in a positive way. We win
some battles
and we lose some battles, but your calls and faxes helped stop amnesty for
illegal aliens.
Your calls and faxes helped convince Republican elected officials to actually
oppose
ObamaCare.
Your calls and faxes helped stop so-called Cap-and-Trade. Your
calls and faxes
helped convince George W. Bush to pardon wrongfully imprisoned border agents
and, more
recently, it was your calls and faxes that helped stop three separate
sovereignty-stealing
UN treaties and helped stop Barack Hussein Obama from nominating Susan
'Benghazi-Gate' Rice
to be our next Secretary of State.
And now, your calls and faxes will bring this young Marine home
for Christmas.
No other outcome is acceptable... so let's roll.
