W've been having discussions in New Zealand about the scope of Internet Governance activities as well as here in the wider APNIC region.
You can read the response of the InternetNZ CE, Jordan Carter to pretty much the same questions in this posting: https://internetnz.net.nz/news/blog/2014/Being-clear-what-we%E2%80%99re-doing-%E2%80%93-and-why For example: "... we will start to produce a subject-specific report on a quarterly basis that highlights what InternetNZ has achieved in areas such as Internet governance engagement, what is planned for the coming quarter, and - importantly - provide increased transparency by including a running update on the budget involved. By working in this way, not only on International issues but across the work programme, members and the broader public will have simple access to information they need to understand what we're trying to achieve and what we are doing next. Our bottom line is that there has to be value from the work we're doing. If there isn't, we don't do it. We need to communicate that value in a way that is open and accessible. If we are unable to communicate that value to our members, we have an obligation to tell the story better, or stop the work." - Jordan Carter, InternetNZ CE
