Hi Dean, Aftab, all, We've heard the feedback loud and clear!
We're restoring the direct download links (with the materials the speakers have submitted - PPT or PDF) but also keeping Slideshare alongside this for those who would like to view the slides online without having to download, and also for those wanting to share those slides on social media. If you look at today's program the direct links have already been restored. We're working through the program now adding them back to all the previous days too. Thanks for the feedback - we want to make the content as accessible and shareable as possible. Kind regards Tony From: Aftab Siddiqui <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Date: Thursday, 18 September 2014 2:49 pm To: Dean Pemberton <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Cc: "[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Subject: Re: [apnic-talk] Slide download links on the APNIC program +1. Sometimes old fashioned way is also needed :) I'm in favor of having both i.e. slideshare and direct download Regards, Aftab A. I don't like it and would prefer to have .pdf/.ppt download links return. The current system with slideshare could be used in addition to these, but the ability to download the links (and provide those links to other interested parties) should be maintained.
