Dear Cooperation SIG Members,

The next meeting of the Cooperation SIG is at 16:00 on Tuesday, 12 September
during APNIC 44 in Taichung, Taiwan.
The Cooperation SIG is a forum for discussing broader Public Policy issues
pertaining to Internet and its Governance.

This year's theme for the Cooperation SIG be "Trans-Border Cooperation on
Cyber Security"

(Cross-border nature of Internet requires cooperation to be a critical
component of cyber security. This session aims to bring out different
perspectives to the nature of Cooperation between states on cybersecurity as an
essential part to combat cross-border cybercrime and to reduce the risks of
cyberwar. Bilateral cybersecurity agreements between nations can help build
that cooperation. The ultimate goal, however should be to achieve
multi-lateral consensus and arrive at global agreement on issues of cyber se
curity.)

The format for the meeting will be in two parts.
The session will begin as a panel with four speakers and will run for 60
minutes, including Q&A.

Remaining time will be made available in the second session for important
presentations of generic nature ,not directly relevant to the theme.

If you are attending APNIC 44 and are interested in presenting to the SIG,
please send a short synopsis to
<[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>>.

The deadline for proposals is: Friday, 18 August 2017.

We look forward to seeing you in Taichung.

Kind Regards,
Govind & Billy
Cooperation SIG Chairs
