As for Tomcat...if it freezes again, try a ctrl->break (windows) to make the jvm dump a stack trace...then copy all that info..

Glad to hear Apollo is working out for you, thanks!!

Hi,

Thanks for your explanation. I should have investigated the termination time thing more before I posted that email! I get it now!

Yes, tomcat was just freezing once it had automatically destroyed an object...but just when u need the error to happen again, it doesnt. :(

I will post the tomcat output when it freezes again.

BTW you dont know how much time you guys have saved me! if apollo didnt exist, I would be fighting with the globus toolkit 4 WSRF implementation :( That would have taken years to understand and get working!

Try calling setTerminationTime(Calendar...) on your Resource.  If you WSDL's portType for the service had the SetTerminationTime in it, then the generated Abstract...Resource  would implement ScheduledResourceTerminationResource which contains that method...

As for Tomcat not responding, we have not seen this behaviour...If you are saying that the resource instance no longer responds, then that is to be expected, since the resource has expired...If you can, try to provide as much info as possible when you believe you see an issue...this will help us aid you more quickly...

Subject: Setting the Termination time..

Hi,

Is there a guide, or can someone tell me, how to change or set the termination time for a resource?
I'm finding it quite tricky..

Any one other quick question...when a resource expires, and it automatically destroyed, why does tomcat seem to "crash"? it no longer responds to incoming messages.

Many thanks
Shahzad
