Before I update aa-decode in the 2.8 branch, I have an additional question (which I forgot when I wrote the previous mail): I have a small patch pending for aa-decode which got some discussion in November, but no formal ACK or NACK. See "[patch] aa-decode performance tuning" from 2012-11-01. I could interpret this as "nobody objected + timeout", but I'd prefer a more formal response ;-) (preferable an ACK ;-) I'd also like to include the performance patch in the 2.8 tree. Therefore I'll wait with backporting aa-decode until I have a response for the performance tuning patch.
