Hi, John Johansen via AppArmor (2026-08-28): > AppArmor profile development has been moved to the apparmor-profiles repo > > https://gitlab.com/apparmor/apparmor-profiles
Thank you for the update. As the maintainer of AppArmor in Debian I'm wondering how we will deliver these profiles into our product i.e. to our users. For example, will they somehow be periodically synced back into apparmor/apparmor and embedded into regular AppArmor userspace releases? (I see the profiles are still on the master branch which is what made me think this might be an option.) → in which case this would not change how I do things, as long as the imported profiles are in the Git tag and not merely in tarballs (I don't use the tarballs anymore). Or will apparmor/apparmor-profiles have its own separate release cycle, Git tags, etc.? → in which case we'll need a new source package and we'll need to figure out what name it should have. (And what color the bikeshed should be, of course.) Cheers, -- intrigeri
