Go to Control Centre -> Appearance & Themes -> Colors; there you can
modify the colors for everything to your heart's content. I'm
personally using a completely white-on-black setup, but the caveat is
there's only two styles I know of that can handle this properly; one
is the included "High Contrast", the other QIndustrial:
