I particularly like superkaramba (from kde-look) with the theme tuxbar (many variants, search for tuxbar on kde-look). I have tryed a toolbar with autohide, and this can get very confusing! But have a search anyway and try other launchers. I like tuxbar.
Regarding the new theme, yes it's pretty good, but isn't it only a mockup? Perhaps you could contact the graphics artist for similar graphics for a theme, but first you would have to decide on a close button, minimize and maximise buttons. I have noticed that the menu looks more like the gnome menu in this mockup, though, so making this the 3.5 theme would require coding a plugin for kicker, especially if you want the dynamic stuff like contacts display. A lot of work would need to done on konqueror to make it filefinder, at the moment filefinder looks more like nautilus. Besides, like gnome, for adaquate space on the taskbar, you'd need to redesign the theme a bit (Especially since create, communicate and configure aern't the only things you do on a pc). KDE is flexible and powerful enough to accomodate this though, I'm sure, but its a lot more than theming.
Its a great look though, and deserves some of its ideas incoporated into kde 4. More pics here: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=30012

Subject: [Appeal] zooming toolbar
Hello,
I wonder if anyone thinks a toolbar that zooms when the mouse is over it, like
OS X's bar or the old kicker icon zooming, would be a good addition. I would
like it because then I could shrink my toolbars down so they don't take up a
lot of screen area, but I could still move my mouse over them to identify
which was which from the icon.
Alternately, the toolbar could be made to autohide, like kicker, but that may
be too confusing. That's almost like menu items that hide when they aren't
used to "reduce clutter" (pronounced "create confusion").
Just a thought,
Justin Guerin

Subject: [Appeal] Default theme for 3.5
Hello, I was wondering if the default theme would be this one for KDE
3.5 later this month:

This would rock!
