Now is when we need to define "common user". For instance, I consider
myself an advanced used, but however I never use the splitted panels
in Konqueror.

Well, a notepad maybe does not need a menubar, because it has olny
five commands - maybe a toolbar is enough. In my opinion it should.
But if the Mac guys thought their Finder was so simple that it does
not need a menubar, it's ok. I never said everything is perfect in
MacOS X :)

Anyways, this is just my opinion. My concept of interface is a simple
sketch in the screen. But not simple because it has few elements. My
concept of simple is "few, standard and well-defined sections". The
Menubar is a simple and standard sub-interface to access commands.
Just I wouldn't like it to be reduced to a pop-up menu.
