One thing to check is that your tasks don't have any illegal characters.
 We've seen other users who have imported data from another source have
illegal characters in their tasks or task notes.  These will show up in
Toodledo as square images or some other non-character image.  We have a fix
for this that we're testing in a closed beta that skips over the characters,
but to get syncing working now simply remove these characters.

Once all of the characters are removed, go into Todo's settings under
synchronization and touch "Reset Synchronization Data".  This will make sure
you have a full copy of your tasks and pull down any missing tasks.
