Thanks for contacting us. The 1.2 update does not add support for subtasks in Todo, it only fixes some synchronization issues we had with them. They will look like normal tasks but when you complete recurring subtasks, they stay in sync with the parent task.
We're planning on adding full subtask support in an upcoming release.
