Jen, Thanks for contacting us. We plan on incorporating the time into our sorting of tasks. The manual sorting is quite tricky because tasks can show up in their assigned list, the All list, the Focus list, and also Context and Tags lists now. The manual sorting would only be relevant for the list in which you did the manual sorting and would most likely be wrong in other lists.
Manual sorting is something we've been looking into but haven't found a solution that works well. For a very simple single list task list it would work, but there are a lot of ways to work with tasks where it would go wrong. Anyway, we'll be adding the due time sorting. Tasks that have due times would simply sort higher on the same due date than tasks that do not have a due time. If you are viewing tasks by priority, then tasks with the same priority would also follow those rules.
