Heh, so I sent a "message to author", confused by I guess Google groups stops someone from commenting on an old thread.
Anyway, I had a repeat of my previous issue, where synching with Toodledo led to lots and lots of ancient and completed tasks showing up as undone. I think I figured it out, and am hopeful I can avoid it in the future (though I had one glitch, see below) -- the setting was to only keep old tasks for a month, and it had been over a month since I had synched (because of my previous bad experience, I wasn't eager to risk a relapse, which paradoxically probably made it worse.) So I think the rule is, if you synch, you MUST do it more often than the "Completed Tasks | Keep" setting! I experimented with "synch on startup" but don't like the way it locks me out, so now I have a weekly recurring reminder. (Feature wise, I wish someone provided a "1 way only" backup synch. Being able to dynamically update my data via web isn't important to me, really... I just want a backup in case something goes wrong, and then be able to restore from that if things go wrong.) So I'm hoping setting "Completed Tasks | Keep" to a year and a weekly Todo for myself to synch (it's nice having such an easy Todo to do :-) I will not see this occur again. The only thing that makes me nervous is the "zombie task revival" happened, I cleared it out, set "Keep" to a year, synched, and it happened again, but I think that was because the "1 year" hadn't kicked in yet, so to speak. Anyway, I still like this product very much... as new smartphone options come out, this app is definitely on the "pluses" list for iPhone! I was almost worried it was getting too feature heavy, sacrificing some of its simplicity of interface for new ways of wrangling data, and going to request a "simple mode" with just lists, no tags or contexts, but I've found contexts to be a little useful, and there's not too too much clutter in the interface. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Learn more about Todo, Notebook (notes available everywhere), and AccuFuel (fuel efficiency tracker) on Appigo's website: http://www.appigo.com/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Appigo Todo" group.
