It's funny, we get requests for both ways. Some users want it to use the current view and settings for quick-add, others want it to use some default. We'll have to look into some preference for quick add to determine how it behaves, but we'll probably leave the default as it is as most of our users seem to prefer it this way. It also may be confusing if you quick add a task and it doesn't show up in the list. I've added your request to our list to be investigated.
