In fact, the deletion means that you lose all the entries on the iPhone or the iPod Touch!
They remain intact on the Toodledo or RTM service. So, it's exactly backwards from what you thought--and that's what they're working on fixing, so that one can switch services w/o losing all the data on their i-device!
