We're sorry to hear of your frustration and would be happy to help you get
the synchronization with iCal working.

Could you please take a minute and describe more specifically where tasks
were being overwritten? Was that in iCal or inside Todo? We assume that
you've gone through these steps with the full version of Todo?

One thing that we like to do here, if all of the tasks in iCal are what you
want to get onto your iPhone/iPod touch is to go through a "Reset
Synchronization Data" process. What this will do is clear everything off of
your iPhone and then pull all the tasks clean down from iCal. After
configuring synchronization in Todo, go into Todo's Settings ->
Synchronization screen. Near the bottom of that screen, you'll see the
"Reset Synchronization Data" button. If you confirm this, it will then
clear off your tasks from Todo and bring down a clean copy from iCal. From
then on, you can just use the standard sync button at the bottom-left of the
screen.

Hopefully this helps. Please let us know what state this gets you to and
we'll be more than happy to help further.
