I ran into that same thing shortly after I started using ToDo v2.0. Obviously, it had to do with something not quite syncing properly between ToDo and Toodledo, however I never found the specific cause, so I just did a reset sync to clear out ToDo and copied items down from Toodledo. Since then, I've had no issues.
So my recommendation is to just take some time to go through all of your tasks on Toodledo, make sure they all look correct, add anything new, get everything organized on Toodledo, and then do a clean sync to back ToDo. Until syncing becomes 100% bulletproof, it's probably a good idea to do that occasionally.
