Hi, garfield, I'd say: Go for it! I joined Toodledo Pro myself a few weeks ago and manage all my (simpler) projects in ToDo. Everything syncs perfectly both ways.
Also, should you ever have to reinstall ToDo and transfer your tasks and projects back from ToodleDo onto your iPhone/iPod, ToodleDo Pro is the only way to make sure that your subtasks are organized into projects. With standard ToodleDo your subtasks are all over the place.
