I don't think I follow... If I reckon correctly you have to verify email address only once, it doesn't make difference if you clicked on the link using your iPhone or Mac. If you did that particular email address was verified and there is no point to do it second time. I assume that it is roughly the same process as with all the discussion boards and plethora of other services that use email verification. If I reckon correctly, the link that you have clicked contains unique token than read by suitable script saves email address in database. It doesn't make a difference with what device or where you clicked the link.
