Since the version 3.0, I am wondering if it could be possible to use the
calendar for the task reminder ... What for? Well I can think of several
advantages:

1. That would make it work even when the phone is offline
2. It would save battery as adding a task makes an internet connection (btw,
what happens if I add a task when in flight mode?)
3. It would speed up the app because of #2

Here are the details of my proposal. I don't know if the iPhone SDK permit
this though:

1. The user will choose a calendar in the todo settings so that Todo will
know which calendar to use
2. Whenever a task is added with a due date (manually, while syncing or a
new recurring task instance) Todo would add an event in the calendar.
   - The title of the event would be the title of the task or the title
premended with "Todo: ".
   - Its start date would be the same as the task due date.
   - Duration would be as short as possible
   - Reminder would be set to whatever is in the Appigo Settings (5 minutes
before, etc...)
   - A note to the entry would contain a URL like appigotodo://<TASK ID>.
Some other people have suggested that Appigo implements its own protocol
handler so that there is a quick shortcut to open a task.

The way it would work:
   - My phone rings from the calendar reminder
   - I slide it open and calendar opens
   - I am one click away from wiewing my task (the URL above is showing
right there)

It seems to me as if it is the most sensible thing to do and the push
notifications is actually overkill, since the date at which I want to be
notified is known in advance. No need to do that OTA.

Of course, when a task is deleted/marked done, the item in the calendar
should be removed.

Let me know if that makes any kind of sense and if it is possible.
