The lite version is limited to 10 tasks. As I understand it, the features of the lite and normal version are the same, but the number of tasks are limited.
Speaking as a user, I find Todo very flexible and useful. It takes a while to decide what works for you in terms of tags, contexts, using checklists, etc. Someone else here mentioned using ToDo on the iphone, and then leaving Toodledo on the web as only a backup, not using the web interface for it.
