I've been asking for something like this forever. One real quick way to make a big improvement is to put an AND/OR button in between the two selections in the "Hide Tasks" setting of the focus list. This wouyld allow you to selct AND and only see items that fall within a certain date range AND a certain priority. A button just like what was recently added in the "list filters" setting.
