Hi Appigo, First, kudos to all of your more recent updates (sub-tasks, checklists, alerts, landscape mode, etc) that has made this app even more powerful.
As a person, who has tried out practically all GTD systems on the Iphone, here are a few suggestions to make this even better and help compete with some of the newer products out there: 1. As many have requested before, I'd rather see a sub-task name than a project name in the list view. Best to have this as a user option to switch. Also, please sort out the due-date issues as mentioned by other users before (due date of project vs sub-task due date). 2. Again as many have requested before, task status. I know this can be achieved by tags, but this should be more of a context-like field (in that a task can only have one status). I'd rather not use contexts for this as my current contexts (@home, etc) can be used in conjunction with a new context-like task status field. Also, could we have option to colour-code the text in which the tasks are written based on their status? 3. Integrated calendar that syncs with Google calendar: I know some have said that this isn't true GTD as per DA. However, IMO, it is the best and most effective way to plan / work through a day's tasks. Currently, I use CalenGoo separately from ToDo. In ToDo, I use due dates / times for most tasks (specifically, for those that I need to get done at appropriate dates & times) and priorities for other tasks. I also have tags like 'interesting home projects' and 'bedtime reading' that help for the ones for which due dates / times are not appropriate. However, this constant switching between two apps to find out what I have to do (& when I can expect to have free time) can be done away with. The advantage of synching with Google calendar is follows: I generally input tasks / events into my Ipod Touch at home where I have wifi. These are almost simultaneously synched with the basic calendar in the Touch. Now, even if I go out of wifi range, I can still get the alerts! And this should be different from the PI app: one should have option to synch both tasks and calendar events with Google Calendar, though task synching could be one-way (this shouldn't stop task synching with Toodledo). This is to ensure we get alerts for tasks as well using Ipod Touch even outside the wifi reception area. An advantage for Appigo to do this: you eat into the market share of PI and 2Do (both of them are very popular nowadays, but frankly this integrated calendar / todo list is their only strong feature vs ToDo. Put in an integrated calendar and there is no reason why anyone would want to buy those two apps. -- Learn more about Todo (task management made simple), Notebook (notes available everywhere), and AccuFuel (fuel efficiency tracker) on Appigo's website: http://www.appigo.com/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Appigo Todo" group.
