I pretty much the same issue after the upgrade to 3.4.  I have
rebooted my iPod Touch.  I re-authorized the iPod as well.  When I try
to sync it hangs on the "Getting Tasks" state with the spinning wheel
next to it.  I've given it lots of time  (15 minutes) to complete, but
eventually I have to just quit the program.  I've then ended up with
duplicate tasks in the iPod but not in iCal fortunately.   Not a good
way to spend time with a productivity tool.  Thanks for any
assistance!
