Can you add a setting for "Default task type", so that new tasks will just default to that type? Most of my tasks are of type "Normal task", and having to manually specify this every single time I create a task is a constant annoyance. In the rare case of non-normal tasks, the type can be edited after creating the task.
You can also let default task type be "None", and in that case prompt the user for task type every time a task is added.
