With respect, I find this to be a pretty weak workaround. My mailbox overfloweth on the best of days; the last thing I need is to email myself things like this. While it might take some time to implement, I would suggest it would be worthwhile to either support this as described by Wayne, or stop supporting undated repetitions altogether (which I would NOT be in favour).
