Mr. Dan, the statements made by patti goldman that growers have had five
years to shift to other controls shows a complete lack of understanding of what
is actually happening in the industry. If I say that in five years we will not
have oxygen to breath then under her reasoning the human races is at fault
if we can not find a viable replacement. sometimes it just isn't that simple.
The other statement of "one-sided grower impact assessments" reflect the fact
that growers submitted the actual amount of the product used. EPA no longer
used non-science based assumptions, but what was really happening. This makes
it hard for groups such as earthjuice to "massage" the data to reflect a
pre-determined outcome not what is actually happening good or bad. The solid
use
of good science will never satisfy such groups( see alar ), only what they
predetermine to be what is best, regardless of the effect .
