Mr. Dan: The statement made by Patti Goldman that growers have had five years to shift to other controls shows a very limited understanding of what is actually happening in the real world. If I say that in five years we will not have oxygen to breath then under her reasoning the human race is at fault if we do not find a viable replacement. Sometimes it just isn't that simple. The other statement of "one-sided grower impact assessment" reflects the fact that submitted the actual amount of the product used. EPA no longer used non-science based assumptions ,but what was really happening. This makes it hard for groups such as earthjuice to "massage" he data to reflect a pre-determined outcome not what is actually happening good or bad. The solid use of good science will never satisfy such type groups, remember Alar,. Only what they have decided is correct has to be what right, regardless of the effect on the same people they claim to be protecting. Kenny Barnwell Edneyville, North Carolina
