Les,

How large is the fruit when you make application?

In an operation of my small size I am able to take the

fruit. Fruit that I have contacted, at least early
varieties, has been a sticky mess at harvest although
a normal amount of cleaning has worked.

Les,

Your last comment about clean up. Does the
application of 1 gallon per acre
mark, coat, or create a problem with customer
acceptance of apples??

And I gather GF 120 works but in your opinion not
good enough to withstand
the constraints of a Quarantine.

Thanks

JOHN

Well John, maybe you are looking for a different
response than this but the
answer is the same as before your county was
quarantined. It is illegal to
transport any apple, anywhere, whether down your
driveway, inside your
county or over the mountain if it has AM.
Now that a reliable attractant has finally been
found (GF 120) to make the
Spinosad effective I would have to give it a thumbs
up that is if you are
planning to be organic, certified or otherwise. In
my opinion it has really
made all the other attract and kill research
obsolete.
If organic is not a concern, I doubt you would be as
happy with this product
as with say a regular program of Imidan as far as
effectiveness, ease of
application and cleanup of the apples if you don't
have a cleaning line.

I know summer is a long way off, but I would like

So Apple Maggot - GF - 120 Is it a chemical
program I should consider
even though I am in a Washington states AM
quarantine zone??
Literature seems undecided.

Anything else working I should know about??
