This is a question for anyone who can answer it.

I have been using a silicone surfactant (Silwet, 2 fluid ounces per 100 gallons) with my NAA chemical thinner, and this produces excessive foaming. So I add a proprietary foam killer (Fighter F) to suppress the foaming enough to spray out to the bottom of the tank. I have been wondering whether addition of the foam killer is negating the intended effect of the surfactant, namely, to improve foliar uptake of NAA. Is the surfactant wasted when it is balanced with foam killer?
